Christina is the Community Writer/Editor for inRegister magazine in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She graduated magna cum laude from Louisiana State University in May 2015 with degrees in English and Mass Communication, concentrating in Creative Writing and Journalism, respectively. In the meantime, she also co-hosts creative writing workshops for New South Story Lab (once alongside Cornell MFA graduate and Pushcart Prize winner Daniel Peña), writes about the arts in pop culture at Prologue to a Blog, and constantly dreams of her next adventure across the sea.
Her previous experience includes interning at LSU Press, where she worked with LSU MFA graduate Emily Nemens and The Southern Review poetry editor Jessica Faust, as well as interning at Country Roads Magazine, where she reviewed local plays and documentaries, and wrote articles for its online blog. She has also spoken as a guest on the Sound on Sight podcast, where she talked about how feminism helped make Mad Max: Fury Road one of the best action films in years.
She has traveled to China as a People to People student ambassador; to Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, and Germany to perform with her high school choir; to Florence as a college student of oil painting and travel writing; to Rome and Ireland with family and friends; and most recently to Japan, where she convened with fox spirits and ate lots and lots of sushi.
